Shannon Weeks- Math & Science
Welcome to 4th grade! I am excited to share my love of learning with you! We are going to have a blast learning new things in math and science! Me encanta aprender (I love to learn)!
An unknown author once said, “Mathematics is like love, a simple idea, but it can get complicated." I am excited about sharing my love of math with your child and working through the complicated parts together. :)
I am currently in my 12th year of teaching, all of which have been at Buford Academy. I am a 2003 graduate of Winder-Barrow High School.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University in 2007. I obtained a Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education in 2010 and an Education Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership in 2012, both from Piedmont College. In December of 2017, I obtained my Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. I also have the ESOL endorsement. I was Buford City Schools' 2015-2016 System Teacher of the year.
I have been married to my husband, Brad, for 8 years, and we have a precious dog named Lucy.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, shopping, getting pedicures, decorating, and doing community service projects with my church (First Baptist Church Buford) and sorority (Zeta Tau Alpha).
